Academics and Advising
Full Tuition
Participants are required to enroll as a full-time student in order to satisfy student visa requirements. In most cases full-time status requires students to take 4-5 classes while abroad, although a few universities allow enrollment in just three courses. Program participants usually transfer back between 9-16 academic credits to their home university or college.
University and Course Selection Advice
Selecting the most suitable university to attend is a difficult and tough decision for all students. Our staff have extensive knowledge of all of our partner universities (most have visited each university at least once) and they are available to answer questions before a student submits an application. Our staff is updated on events and changes that take place concerning our participant universities. This means students receive accurate and timely advice. Brief profiles of the universities are included within this web site, but students are encouraged to ask questions until completely comfortable with their host university selection for their foreign studies program.
Course listings are provided under each program to assist in selecting an appropriate university. Additional course information, including timetables and descriptions, will be available from The Education Abroad Network throughout the application process. Some course descriptions will be available online or as a hard copy. Course syllabuses are also available as needed.
Official Academic Transcripts
At the conclusion of your program you will receive official academic transcripts from your host university. A few select internship participants are issued U.S. academic transcripts.
Credit Approval and Transfer Assistance
This is one of the most important aspects of the study abroad process. Without proper course approval students could miss out on an entire academic semester. The Education Abroad Network has a set of checks and balances in place to insure students complete the credit approval process accurately.
