Premier Housing

In addition to the important choice of where you will study overseas, you also will decide where you will live. Once the application process has begun, our staff will begin discussing your housing needs and preferences and will be able to answer your questions about your day-to-day living.

Some locations have multiple housing options, while other program locations may not offer any accommodation choices. Please discuss your specific housing options with your representative. The majority of housing information mentioned on the website relates to our Premier Housing, which is primarily located off-campus. University or third-party accommodation options will vary considerably with our Premier Housing in terms of amenities and layouts.

Difference between Premier Housing and University/Third-Party Accommodation

Premier Housing consists of apartments or houses that we own or rent for use in our programs. We research, inspect, furnish and manage these units so we have greater control over amenities and locations.

In addition, because we manage our own housing, it is easier for us to honor roommate requests. We also have greater control in standardizing our own units. With university or other third-party housing, we have less control over amenities and roommate allocations because these units are managed by others.

Finally, our in-country staff is consistently evaluating and reviewing properties to insure we are offering the best available housing options.

Cultural Integration

Because our housing is close to campus and within easy distance of many cultural and social options, you will integrate faster into your local community. We believe you need to begin this integration on arrival, so we will not place you in temporary accommodations as other providers do. As part of our housing philosophy, you move straight into your new home at the end of orientation.

Higher Standard of Living

Our Premier Housing options generally offer a higher standard of living and more amenities as opposed to typical student accommodation because we furnish most of our units ourselves. We understand what students and parents want in housing amenities, and we consistently meet and exceed those expectations.

Independence, Flexibility and Cultural Immersion

Our off-campus housing provides students with an independent and flexible lifestyle. In addition, off-campus housing allows students to live within a local community, which can often encourage more cultural immersion and stepping out of their “comfort zones.” We also offer many on-campus options for those who value living within an academic setting.

Technology Package with Internet and Phone Access

Most of our managed housing now includes pre-arranged phone and high speed internet access. No need to research all the options or purchase expensive software. Stay connected with family and friends, do academic research and coursework from the convenience of your off-campus housing and avoid long-term contracts normally associated with setting up an internet account yourself.
