Study Australia Excursions
Study Australia offers special trips for those adventure-loving students looking to infuse even more excitement into their overseas experience. Varying in length, these trips are organized by Study Australia staff, but also utilize professional local guides to insure your safety and cultural immersion.
While studying abroad in Sydney, we encourage you to not travel every weekend. Therefore we have scheduled our excursions prior to the start of the semester and during the mid-semester break. Australians tend to work hard during the week, and play hard on the weekends. So rather than heading off each weekend, hang around Sydney and get to know the locals.
Recently, pre-semester excursions have included the exhilirating South Island of New Zealand and the beautiful East Coast of Australia. Mid-semester (spring break) trips are also popular among students wishing to explore as much as possible on their semester abroad. Recently, mid-semester break trips have included our Alternative Spring Break to Thailand and a repeat of the popular South Island of New Zealand trip.
These excursions are optional extras so you can pick and choose based on your interests. We operate our excursions at cost. This means students save on average 15% - 30% off comparable itineraries because there are no travel agent commissions or profit margins involved. And our excursions are specially designed to complement your time abroad, not designed for the 45-year-old British backpacker. Chat to our alum - these trips are well worth it!
South Island New Zealand
New Zealand’s South Island offers some of the most magnificent natural surroundings this planet has to offer! And it’s home to some of the world’s most extreme adventure sports. From the Southern Hemisphere's highest (and original) bungee jump, to jet boating through ravines, white water rafting the raging rapids, and hiking glaciers, you won't be disappointed or bored!
East Coast Australia
The iconic Great Barrier Reef is home to some of the world’s most stunning waterscapes and unique creatures. Take some time to explore tropical rainforests and native wildlife while also participating in extreme activities such as white water rafting and bungee jumping. Or just soak in some of that famous Australian sun.
Take advantage of Australia’s ideal location in the South Pacific and explore exotic Asian destinations. With Study Australia’s exclusive 9-day excursion to Thailand, you’ll find yourself loping around on the back of an elephant, introducing your tastebuds to tropical fruits, and lounging on a white sand beach. With the culture of the north and the beaches of the south, this excursion is not to be missed.
Don’t miss your chance to explore the hidden gems of the very cool city of Melbourne. On our weekend trip, you’ll explore hidden alleys and be introduced to the sporting culture of … Aussie Rules Football. Led by our local Resident Director, this is one place you absolutely must visit. (So we do offer one weekend trip as we think this city shouldn’t be missed!)
