Internship Dates and Fees

Program Dates

Internships are available during the Spring (February - June) and Fall (September - December) semesters, as well as Summer (Early June - End of July).

2011 Spring Semester Internship Dates: mid February to late June
2011 Summer Internship Dates: June 3 - July 30, 2011
2011Fall Internship Dates: late August to late December

Customized dates are also available for highly independent students and recent graduates who have arranged their own accommodation or do not require pre-arranged accommodations.

Financial Assistance

Internships are unpaid due to visa regulations. Loans, scholarships and grants may be available depending on the type of internship program you undertake. Please contact The Education Abroad Network for more information. In addition, check with your home institution for the availability of financial assistance and whether any current financial aid can be applied to this program. Using financial aid for study abroad is very complex so please contact The Education Abroad Network before you rule out this option.

Deposits

An initial program deposit is due with the Internship Application. In addition, all participants using The Education Abroad Network housing will be subject to a refundable housing deposit.

Payment Deadline Requirements

To participate in any aspect of the program, students must pay all fees in full by the deadlines. The deadline for most internship programs is 6 prior to the internship start date and varies based on your visa status.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation of a program application must be made in writing.

Application Fee of USD $100 and late fees are not applied to the overall program fee and are non-refundable.

Initial Program Deposit of USD $300 are applied to the overall program and is refundable based on the following conditions:

Student withdraws four weeks before the intended start date and we have had at least ten weeks to find a placement.
Study Australia determines it cannot find an internship in the applicant's field of choice. If this will be the case, we will endeavor to give the applicant as much notice as possible.

Final program fee cancellations received before 42 days before the program commencement date will receive a refund on any secondary program deposits, if any were required from The Education Abroad Network (does not include the initial deposit). Participants may also be liable for any non-refundable costs paid by The Education Abroad Network on behalf of the applicant. Examples of these costs would be non-refundable housing or visa fees, etc.

Cancellations received within 42 days before program commencement will receive a full refund on the "overall Program Fee" paid, less a withdrawal fee to cover non-refundable costs related to pre-arranged housing commitments and internship services already provided by The Education Abroad Network. Cancellations received after program commencement will not be eligible for a refund.
