Accommodation in Beijing
The Study Asia orientation program is headquartered in downtown Beijing, offering 5-star luxury accommodations, just minutes from the 2008 Olympic National Stadium. The hotel offers a perfect base for exploring the city's major attractions, including the new China International Exhibition Center, the "Lido Commercial District," as well as imperial sites. The hotel boasts an indoor pool, gymnasium and sauna, as well as a trendy lounge and cafe.
Trip to the Great Wall
Enjoy a trip to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall. Here you will marvel at this top wonder of the world, while climbing and hiking your way along its winding path. As you explore the pathways where emperors once strolled, take time to appreciate the leaders who shaped the world's history.
Houhai Lake Tour
An afternoon boat tour takes us to Houhai Lake, the perfect mixture of old Beijing traditions and western-influenced modernity. Home to the city's hippest and trendiest nightclubs, cafes and restaurants, the area really comes alive as night falls.
Chinese Cultural Show
A dizzying array of back-bending, jumping and balancing await you at the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe show. Prepare to be amazed by the death-defying and graceful movements of these highly-trained and incredibly talented professionals.
Tai Chi in the Park
Get your slow-moving groove on as you enjoy a tai chi lesson in a local park. Enjoy the tried-and-true benefits of this traditional Chinese martial art as the day begins.
