Student Ambassador Program

The Education Abroad Network (TEAN) offers a way to share your study abroad experience while enhancing your resume, gaining work experience, and earning rewards at the same time! The Student Ambassador Program is not a commission-based program. Students simply have to complete a set of activities each semester to be eligible for a stipend.

Please email Oliver McSurley for a position description.

Now that you've shared your photos with family and friends, why not enter them for a chance to win great prizes. Your photos may even be featured in a TEAN publication. See Photo Contest for details.

Tax Deductions

Does The Education Abroad Network issue IRS Form 1098T?

We are not eligible to issue IRS Forms 1098T because we are not a US university or college. Regardless, tuition paid to foreign universities is not tax deductible per the IRS. But, please consult your tax professional as the information we have provided should not be considered tax advice. It is also our understanding that for most taxpayers only the first $4,000 in tuition paid is eligible for tax deduction. Because of this most participants will be able to take the full tax deduction based on tuition paid for the semester within that tax year where they are enrolled in their current US university or college. If you studied abroad for a full year then unfortunately you may not receive a tax deduction, but as always please consult a tax professional.
