Upon arriving in their host city, Education Abroad Network participants are met by local Resident Directors and/or university-based staff and transported to their permanent housing. Students who book the Group Flight and are participating in an Orientation Program are met at the airport upon arrival in their host country. Seeing a friendly face after traveling for over 24 hours is comforting to both students and parents. After you meet up with our group at the airport, we do all that we can to help you become quickly acclimated to your new environment.
Our past students often tell us that the orientation program was one of the best parts of their Education Abroad Network semester. This experience, included in your program fees, is available for most participants in each location, depending on university schedules.
Arrival "Welcome" Pack
Our resident directors utilize their local knowledge and experience to provide our participants with informative "welcome" packs to ease the transition process into their home city. These packages include a wealth of city specific information including: maps, public transport schedules, media contacts, shopping hints and emergency numbers, just to name a few.
Pre-Semester & Mid-Semester Travel Opportunities
The Education Abroad Network can lessen the worry of parents and students by offering reputable pre-semester trips which can be booked prior to departing for the student's host insitution.
Host University Orientation
Every student will be provided with a formal university orientation lasting one to three days in length. Topics may include health insurance, finalizing enrollment, medical facilities, security, university-sponsored trips and activities, and academic expectations.
