Orientation
Home to more than eight million people and often the most-visited city in the world, Bangkok offers a kaleidoscope of culture, color, cuisine and traffic congestion. Arriving in the city can sometimes be overwhelming for first-timers but, don’t worry, you’ll soon fall in love with the electric pull of the Big Mango. Ease into the transition with TEAN’s 4-day included orientation that will introduce you to your new campus, go over cultural backgrounds and differences, show you how to use public transport and take you to a range of the city’s most interesting sites, such as the Bangkok Arts and Culture Center, Lumphini Park (the equivalent of New York’s Central Park) and the riverside arts, dining and entertainment hub of Asiatique.
Housing

Courses
MUIC offers more than 400 courses in English each semester. Students enroll in 4–5 courses per semester (3 credits), which usually transfers as 12-15 U.S. semester credits or 18-22.5 quarter credits. The participant’s home university will determine ultimate credit approval and transfer. Please note that tuition covers 4 courses, so students wishing to take 15 credits will need to pay an additional fee. Some courses also contain a lab component or extra contact hours that will have additional fees. This is explained in our course selection instructions.
Students will enroll in courses approximately 2-3 weeks prior to departure and will have the opportunity to make changes during the add/drop period once onsite.
Courses are available in English in the below disciplines. For detailed instructions on how to find courses and syllabi, please see our course selection instructions.

Selling everything from cheap clothes and tons of food to unique antiques and secondhand goods, the impressive market has two locations: Talat Rot Fai Srinakarin and Talat Rot Fai Ratchada. Go to eat, shop, listen to live music, check out the vintage displays, browse little bars and more…you can easily spend several hours at Talat Rot Fai!

That said, you can’t visit Bangkok without riding in one of its iconic three-wheeled rickshaws! Several local operators run nighttime tuk tuk tours that are just as fun and invigorating as they are insightful. You’re sure to experience parts of the city you’ve never seen before or popular spots in a whole new way..,after dar
